Start/Finish/Parking: Guion Farm (DuPont State Forest) - 3045 Sky Valley Rd, Hendersonville, NC 28739

Directions from Crab Creek Rd (off Hwy 64): Turn south 0.7 miles on DuPont Road to a left on Sky Valley Road. Follow Sky Valley Road past the junction of Old CCC Road to the Guion Farm Access Area 1.6 miles on the right.

RULES

ALL racers must check-in on race day (At parking Lot Below Left/Right Loop Parking Area) so we know you are starting. Your name will be called at the race start if you have not checked in. Please be sure to let us know you are there
Anyone dropping out must notify a race official/medical personnel/aid station captain – PLEASE do not leave without notifying someone!
Please DO NOT litter the course. Drop off your trash at the nearest Aid Station.
Race Number should be worn on the front and visible at all times.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STAY ON THE COURSE! Do not cut the course or attempt to avoid switchbacks! Anyone caught/reported doing so will be disqualified. IF YOU GET OFF COURSE, PLEASE RETURN TO THE POINT WHERE YOU WENT OFF AND CONTINUE. IF YOU DO NOT RUN THE INTENDED ROUTE, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED!!!
If you see a runner in need, do what you can to help. If the help needed is beyond your capabilities, please report the situation to a race official/medical personnel/aid station captain.
BE PREPARED! - Have emergency clothing in case of inclement weather.
Course will be marked with arrows at each turn and 3 orange survey flags will follow each turn and be placed approximately each ¼ mile.

PLEASE NO DOGS in the race for safety of other runners and users!

THERE ARE MULTIPLE CREEK CROSSINGS (MILES 1.75, 3, & 8.1) WHERE YOU WILL GET WET!
DuPont has many user groups. Horseback Riders are a user group we, as runners, must yield to. Please be courteous to ALL user groups, but if you come upon a horse, please stop and make your presence known and allow the rider to let you know when it is safe to pass or if they should pass you.
Wildlife includes bears, poison snakes & spiders, & coyotes. Be aware of your surroundings!
